snow fun

No one ever told us what kind of weather it was here.
Someone told us we live in the banana belt.
Well.... no banana's here but it sure is cold!!!!
Minus 20C.





But the kid's have allot of fun playing in the snow, they don't seem to be bothered with the cold that much.



















I was very cold, so I made the pictures and I had to bribe the kid's to come in.

The daddy machine

The kid's know when to play with daddy.









They do that every time when daddy is tired and want to relax.









And daddy, oh well... he just let it happen.

Amber's way's

Amber is very playfull, she loves to play with her doll.
Every day she drag's her dollaround, and when she get's stuck with her doll stroller, she throws a little hissiefit.
She is so much like me, while Emma is more like her dad.



When Amber play's outside she is quiet, she just pooks around in the dirt with a stick or she tries to eat leaves, or dirt...whatever comes first.
I am glad and happy that I never got the conebiopsy when I was pregnant.
Can't imagion a life without her.

wagon

Here they are, in the wagon.

Emma and Amber love sitting in the wagon and they love being outside...except when it is too cold.

Today when it is not too cold we will go outside with the wagon again.

I still have to get some xmashooks for the ornaments...the tree isn't done yet!!!

to early?

I love xmas, and the last years we didn't have a good xmas, it always evolved around others or we didn't have the feel for xmas the way we wanted it to feel.
All we wanted was to be home with xmas and invite friends and family over, but somehow that never happened.
Either we lived to far away for eveyone to come to us..while we had to drive miles to get to them.
Or we didn't have the room or the money.












This year that will be totally different.
Now we live to far away for sure!
But at the same note, everyone is welcome to visit us.
Now we have the room, and the money.
And we will spend xmas for the first time in our own home.
It is not that we didn't like xmas befor, it was just never our xmas.










The xmas tree I bought at the second hand store, and the ornaments too, but some are from the home hardware.
I love angels and every year we will buy a new angel for our tree.
And this time we will keep them all.






This is the angel for this year, she is beautiful, I got her when we had to go to Regina.




This ornament I got from the home hardware, isn't it pretty?
I finally will feel how xmas should feel.
I have no idea what to make for xmas dinner, but I am sure I will do just fine.
Stan loves it that we don't have to go away now.
And the girls will love what we will do on xmas day... we have some good ideas to keep the girls busy.

the box from oma and granny

My mom and grandmother send a box with all kinds of goodies for the kid's.

It was very early in the morning andAmber was still sleeping when they came with the box.

Emma loved everything she found in that box.

She said it is my birthday!!

I explained to her that it was a little bit for xmas and because oma and granny are missing her.

The box was filled,and it was almost 85 dollars for shipping...so I am shocked that they did this!

But I just love the chocolat's LOL.

Emma was taking everything out saying, this is for me and this is for Amber.

There was also a new sweater in there for Emma, she loved the sparkles on it.

It also had mickey mouse on it.

Too bad she can't see mickey herself, it is up to high!

visitor

We had an other deer again, visiting the yard.

This time it was a female mule deer.

second hand store

Stan came home earlier from work today, so we went to the second hand store not far from here.
We did good when we got there let me tell you!!
Stan got a very good scanner printer combo for only $20, we can even hook up de digital camera and print the pictures out...and it works!!
We also got a band new ceiling fan, in box for only $15 dollars.
And I got Amber a snowsuit and new winterboots from winnie the pooh for 12 dollars totall!!!
You can imagion that we felt great, even Emma got something she likes, and that is dino's that even can make sounds.
I love going to second hand stores, makes me feel great when I can buy more for less.
ps. we got a bit of snow today and I think it is a bit nippy.

Bambi came to see us

It was a nice surprice to see Bambi in our yard this morning.
I wasn't expecting that to happen during daytime.
But then again, it is hunting season, so where else to go then here.
If you can't beat them, join them!

Old photograph's

I just love old photo's.
I have been collecting them for years now and I do have allot of them.
I am still looking for more pictures, and these are the type of pictures that I am looking for.
But not computer images, no the real thing.
I put them in frames and I look at them every day.
It is like an art form, the way the people look, the way their hair is done and their clothes, especially children.
Can't have enough of those photo's.




If any one can help me find more of these photograph please let me know.

Bath time

Emma and Amber just love to be in the bathtub.
It's not hard to get them in the tub, it is hard to get them out of the tub.
Usually I just pull the plug out.
And then wehn the water is gone they will come out.
Now Emma knows where the waters goes.
So she will sit on the drain, stopping the water from going away.
Amber is getting curly hair.
I wonder how that tastes...
